Cap de l’Eau
“Cap de l’Eau” is a town with at least three names:
“Cap de l’Eau” is the french one, “Cabo de Agua” is spanish and “Ras Elma” is the arabic name. It all has the same meaning: “Cape of water” – it describes the gepographical location.
Other monenclatures are “Ras Kebdana” or “L’Borge”.
Ras Elma is a village at the seaside with kilometers of untouches sandy beaches situated between Nador and Saidia.
The luxury golf resort “Mediterranea Saidia” is only 5 minutes away, to the international airport of Nador it’s approx. 40 minutes and to Oujda International Airport it is approx. 50 minutes driving.
There is a beautiful fisher’s port. Every Thursday (since many generations) people from the surrounding meet at the weekly market of Ras Elma where you can buy fresh fruits and vegetables, artcrafts and much more.
Where the Meluia River that comes from the midle Atlas mountains meets the Mediterranean Sea a huge natural reserve was founded. Birdwatchers will rejoice.
